Twitter spent most of its time Wednesday morning reveling in Damian Lillard's game-winning shot against the Oklahoma City Thunder. However, users also took a little time to roast Gary Owen for a tweet he probably wishes he could take back.
If Portland’s coach could say the N word that was the perfect time. This N word just hit that shit. WOW

Owen sent the tweet to his 230,000 followers and was instantly roasted for his weak comedy and crude jokes about a community of which he isn't a part.

This instance is far from his first time he's made a terrible joke about the use of the N-word. Many of his followers reminded him of an uncomfortable video he made with his Black wife last April. In the video, he used her to respond to comedian Michael Blackson.
Dozens of Twitter users bashed him for feeling too comfortable around Black people and joked of revoking his "invite to the cookout." Hopefully, the roasting reminded Owen to stay away from the N-word entirely.
