Raptor Common has joined the cast of David Ayer’s "Suicide Squad," says a Hollywood Reporter exclusive this afternoon, although no word on what role exactly he’s signed up to play in the DC Comics adaptation.
Common joins the previously-cast Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje (playing Killer Croc), Viola Davis (as Amanda Waller), Will Smith (who’ll be playing the character known as Deadshot) as well as Margot Robbie (Harley Quinn), Jared, Leto (The Joker), Jai Courtney (Captain Boomerang), Joel Kinnaman (as Rick Flag), Jay Hernandez (as El Diablo), and Cara Delevingne (Enchantress).
The "Suicide Squad" series follows a group of super-villains who are forced to go on covert missions for a shadowy government agency, in exchange for commuted sentences.
WB plans to release the movie during the summer of 2016.
David Ayer is directing the film.
I’ll defer to you "Suicide Squad" experts to chime in with thoughts on what character Common might be playing.
