A couple is suing cable channel Lifetime after one of the characters in the Christmas-themed movie Christmas Harmony called their family photo "ugly."

According to a December 2018 story from The Guardian, Setiam and Katherine Allah distributed around 50 holiday wishes to friends and family with their family photo splashed across the front. However, the couple has no idea how their picture ended up in Lifetime's possession, as they do not know anyone who works for the network.

The insulting scene shows protagonist Harmony affixing the Allahs' image to a cabinet or refrigerator. However, her love interest in the film disapproves of her action and orders her to take it down. After she declares, "I like them. They're festive," he retorts, "They're ugly!"

Following the movie's November 2018 premiere, friends quickly identified the Allahs as the couple in the scene and contacted them about the network's wrongdoing. Per the New York Daily News, the couple is asking for all the profits Lifetime collected from the film's success.
