Cuba Gooding Jr will be heading to the lovely Gold Coast in Australia, next month, to begin production on a mystery/thriller feature film titled Deception, for Village Roadshow.

The $2 million film will be directed by filmmaker Brian Trenchard-Smith, one of Quentin Tarantino’s favorite Australian directors, known for his contributions to the action movie genre during the 1970s and ’80s in Australia. He is said to be currently working on a new Cinemax comedy series titled Chemistry.

I really couldn’t find any details on what Deception is about, so I don’t have anything to share on that front. This will have to do until we know more. Though, given Cuba Gooding’s recent track record, I’m betting this will be another straight-to-DVD release.
