The unexpected news broke the hearts of fellow musicians who were looking forward to the rise of the promising young producer.

According to The Sun, Hill emerged as a multiplatinum, award-winning producer while working with some of the biggest names in the industry, including Drake, Future, Lil Uzi Vert and Yung Mal.

Future paid tribute on his Instagram story, saying "Lost for words."

"U did legendary S**t In such a short time …rest up Lil bro," Future added in another post.

Playboi Carti, another close friend of the producer, displayed a “RIP D. Hill” message on stage during his concert in Nashville, Tennessee, on Thursday, HipHop DX reports

The cause of Hill's death hasn't been confirmed.
