Montana police have arrested Neo Langston, who is a friend of singer D4vd, after he allegedly failed to appear in court as a witness. According to TMZ, Langston was arrested on an out‑of‑state warrant from Los Angeles and booked into the Lewis & Clark County Jail in Helena, Montana. He was later transferred back to Los Angeles.
Why was Neo Langston arrested in Montana?
Langston’s arrest comes in the midst of the investigation involving D4vd, who was questioned in September after the body of 14-year-old Celeste Rivas Hernandez was found in a car registered to the singer. Police found the teen’s body after she went missing from Lake Elsinore in April 2024.
While it’s not clear if Langston has been called as a witness in the case, TMZ reports that investigators may be questioning him for his connection to D4vd. The grand jury may also still be waiting for more witnesses to come forward, TMZ reported.
Langston has been seen in photos with D4vd, who is legally known as David Anthony Burke, KTLA reported. In previous years, Langston was known as NeoTheAsian on Twitch.
What is the latest in the case of Celeste Rivas Hernandez?
Sources told TMZ in December that D4vd is expected to face murder charges for the death of Hernandez. Two different grand juries are assigned to the case, including one group that’s expected to give an indictment against the 20-year-old singer. Prosecutor Beth Silverman is among the authorities who is aiming to hold D4vd accountable for the teen’s death.
Hernandez’s body was found inside an abandoned Tesla in the Hollywood Hills registered to D4vd, as Blavity reported. The car was taken to a nearby tow yard in September, where it remained for several days before employees noticed an odd odor. Police then found the teen’s body stuffed in a plastic bag in the Tesla.
