Damar Hamlin, the Buffalo Bills player still fighting for his life after collapsing during Monday night’s game against the Cincinnati Bengals, appears to be making progress in his recovery at the hospital. According to CNN, Hamlin’s uncle relayed positive news, saying the 24-year-old seems to be “trending upwards in a positive way.”

ESPN reporter Coley Harvey also provided an update about the NFL safety on Wednesday. Harvey wrote that he spoke with Hamlin’s family friend Jordon Rooney and learned that doctors had delivered encouraging news.

“Per Jordon and Damar’s family, doctors overnight got promising readings that they had been hoping to see by this morning,” Harvey tweeted. “Jordon couldn’t go into specifics, but progress appears to be made.”
