Sean “Diddy” Combs’ mother, Janice Combs, does not play any games when it comes to her son. Janice interjected while Diddy went live on Instagram over the weekend, and she shared a stern message to former Bad Boy Records rapper Ma$e, Atlanta Black Star reports.

In a clip posted on Instagram, Diddy appears relaxed during the live session before deciding to shout out a few of his fellow rappers.

“Shout out to the LOX, Ma$e, Biggie, Busta — I’m talking about everybody that’s on the …” he said, before his mom jumped in.

“My mom said, ‘Ma$e?'” Diddy said, laughing.

Janice made another comment before Diddy turned the camera in her direction. Diddy, however, clarified that he still has love for Ma$e, despite an ongoing feud.

“Yeah, we still love Ma$e. It’s always going to be love,” Diddy said.

Janice continued sharing her thoughts, which were mostly inaudible, but added “…. mess with my son.”

The two laughed as Diddy playfully told the camera, “Mama giving smoke as always.”

Viewers shared their thoughts on Janice’s message in the comments.

“While she’s sipping on some luxury drinks, wearing her fine ass jewels, bought with mase’ p’s. Just say thanks. That’s all,” one viewer wrote.

“She should have put that energy into her son from birth & maybe he wouldn’t have did Mase the way he did,” another noted. “Starts at home.”

One user even called Diddy’s mother an “enabler.”

“Mom the main enabler in his life and wonder why he like that,” they wrote.

Another brought up Diddy and Ma$e’s complicated past.

“They betta leave Mase name out of it before some skeletons fall out the closet!” they added.

Ma$e and Diddy have a complex relationship that goes back decades. According to XXL, in 2020, Ma$e said that the 52-year-old refused to let him buy back his publishing rights, despite a Ma$e offering a payout of $2 million.

In 2021, the “Welcome Back” also accused Diddy of “exploiting Notorious B.I.G.’s death,” Atlanta Black Star reports. Ma$e released the diss track “Oracle 2: The Legend of Mason Betha,” calling Diddy out.
