After a brief, yet very dicey confrontation between leading Memphis Grizzlies rabble rouser Dillon Brooks and the NBA’s all-Ttie leading scorer LeBron James during Game 2 of their playoff season, Brooks has doubled down on why he isn’t fearful of King James.

“I don’t care – he’s old. You know what I mean?” Brooks said of the 38-year-old, per ABC News. “I was waiting for that. I was expecting him to do that Game 4, Game 5. He wanted to say something when I got my fourth foul. He should have been saying that earlier on. But I poke bears. I don’t respect no one until they come and give me 40.”

Amid the third quarter of the game, James put up consecutive baskets to lower the Memphis lead to 14 and Brooks claimed that James called him “dumb” for getting his fourth foul. They were seen trash-talking and getting into each other’s faces on the court.

After having to participate in a high-stakes “play-in” tournament to even make it to the playoffs this year, it hasn’t been the easiest road for the beloved Los Angeles Lakers.

Since the 2023 NBA playoffs are finally in progress,, the Lakers have snuck their way into a potential shot at winning yet another NBA Championship. Now that they’re in the mix, their first challenge has been to face off against a young and thirsty Memphis Grizzlies team, who pride themselves on being raw, cocky and a problem for any adversary.

With this recent Grizzlies win, the series between Los Angeles and Memphis is now tied 1-1. If LeBron and The Lakers can’t come out of this series on top, Brooks may have unlimited ammunition to get under King James’ skin forever.
