Dionne Warwick’s niece Brittani Warrick is taking some heat on social media after admitting that she forgot the name of the iconic song “We Are the World.”
“I couldn’t remember We Are the World so I called @dionnewarwick and asked ‘What was that song you sang with all of your friends? I think Michael Jackson was there???’” She almost disowned me and that’s fair,” Brittani wrote on Twitter.
Twitter responded with a collective groan after seeing the confession.

Some of the biggest global stars came together in 1985 to perform “We Are the World,” which aimed to raise awareness about the famine in Ethiopia and collect funding to help alleviate the crisis, Rolling Stone reports.
Quincy Jones produced the song, which was written by Michael Jackson and Lionel Richie. Dionne was one of the many artists who sang on the record.
