Summit Entertainment and producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura (Red, Tranformers 1 and 2, Salt, Shooter) have made a deal with director Antoine Fuqua to direct their upcoming crime action thriller project Storming Las Vegas

Based on the 2008 book “Storming Las Vegas: How a Cuban-Born, Soviet-Trained Commando Took Down The Strip to the Tune of Five World Class Hotels, Three Armored Cars, and Millions of Dollars”.it deals with Cuban born Jose Vigoa, a former Soviet Army veteran and commando, who conducted, with his gang, a violent 16-month crime wave that targeted some of the city’s most prominent casinos.

Vigoa found himself up against a 23 year veteran of the Vegas Police Dept out to stop him and who also had additional burden of keeping the media from finding out what was going on and spoiling Vegas’ new “clean and wholesome” family image. Fuqua is also currently developing another action project for Summit The Tomb.

Now these sound like my kind of films. Like I said two weeks ago about Fuqua, he’s the “man’s man” director. Unfortunately the last of a dying breed
