nullHow very lucky for Spelman students, and anyone in the Atlanta area, with today's announcement that Ava DuVernay, writer and director of the much-anticipated film Middle of Nowhere (opening next month), will be giving a lecture at Spelman College next Thursday, Sept 27th.

The event will be held at the Cosby Academic Center Auditorium at Spelman College, from 5 to 6:30PM, and will be free and open to the public!

The lecture is being presented by Tananarive Due, the 2012-13 William and Camille Cosby Endowed Professor in the Humanities at Spelman, with Ms. DuVernay scheduled to "break down the business of filmmaking" in her talk, as well as discuss her work as an artist and entrepreneur.

As a special bonus, the lead actress from Middle Of Nowhere, Emayatzy Corinealdi, will also appear with Ms. Duvernay.
