Dominique Brown, a beloved influencer who became popular on social media as she shared her love for Disney, has died at age 34. Although the official cause of her death hasn’t been announced, E! Online reported that Brown died from a food allergy. The 34-year-old was reportedly participating in an event hosted by merchandise retailer BoxLunch in Los Angeles when she experienced an allergic reaction, E! Online reported.

“We are devastated by the passing of Dominique Brown, a beloved member of the BoxLunch Collective, who suffered a medical emergency at an event hosted by BoxLunch on Thursday in Los Angeles,” a BoxLunch rep told People in a statement. “Our hearts go out to her family and friends, and we will do everything we can to support them and the members of the BoxLunch Collective and our team during this painful time.”

A People journalist who was at the BoxLunch event reported that 911 was called to the scene and Brown received CPR.

Brown’s brother, Patrick Ramos, expressed his sorrow when he commented on his sister’s final post on Instagram.

“Hi everyone, this is @pramos313 – Dominique’s brother,” Ramos wrote on the post on Friday. “I wanted to take a moment to say thank you to her social media fam for showing her so much love and light. Disney did bring her joy, but it was unparalleled that she found a community who loved her and Disney as much as she did. I will miss my sister and best friend and that infectious smile she always had. Thank you, truly, from the bottom of my heart. ❤️🥺.”

As part of her effort to bring inclusivity to the Disney-influencer space, Brown co-created BlackGirlDsiney with Mia Von. Brown aimed to create a welcoming community for Black women who love Disney films and theme parks.

The social media star often posted photos of herself and other Disney fans at various theme parks, wearing pictures of the brand’s beloved characters. In June, Brown posted a tribute to Donald Duck on the character’s 90th birthday.

“Happy 90th birthday to one of our favorite ducks, DONALD DUCK🥳,” she wrote. “Thank you so much @disneystyle for gifting me the best box with tons of goodies to celebrate the birthday boy.”
