In a surprising move from the former president, Donald Trump is advocating for vaccines. In an interview with conservative personality Candace Owens, he challenged some of Owens' statements that none of the three COVID-19 vaccines work. The Hill reports the controversial ex-leader unabashedly took credit for the creation of the vaccines and the "incredible speed" at which they were offered to the public amid the pandemic's chaos.
Donald Trump: 'The Vaccine is one of the greatest achievements of mankind' 'All three vaccines (Pfizer, Moderna, J&J) are very good' 'The vaccines work – If you take the vaccine you are protected' 'People aren't dying when they take the vaccine' pic.twitter.com/fU8q1sdMda

“I came up with a vaccine, with three vaccines,” Trump told Owens on Tuesday's episode of The Daily Wire's Candace. “All are very, very good. Came up with three of them in less than nine months. It was supposed to take five to 12 years.”
Owens was quick to jump back with another question, challenging the idea supposedly pushed under the Biden administration that the vaccines are supposed to lower people's chances of dying from the virus once received.
“Yet more people have died under COVID this year,” Owens told Trump. “By the way, under Joe Biden than under you, and more people took the vaccine this year. So people are questioning how—”
“Oh no, the vaccines work, but some people aren’t the ones," Trump responded quickly. "The ones who get very sick and go to the hospital are the ones that don’t take the vaccine. But it’s still their choice. And if you take the vaccine, you’re protected."
“Look, the results of the vaccine are very good, and if you do get it, it’s a very minor form,” Trump continued. “People aren’t dying when they take the vaccine.”
