Dorian Missick is putting his producer hat, to produce as well as star (alongside veteran actor Bill Cobbs) in an indie titled "As Evil Does," directed by Yolanda Buggs (director and producer of the web series "Punanny Diaries").

The project’s synopsis reads: "AS EVIL DOES is a suspense thriller that begins when a door-to-door evangelist engages an aging atheist in a conversation about religion and God. The conversation quickly devolves and the evangelist is asked to leave the house – but he doesn’t! When he re-emerges from the shadows after the caregiver has gone home, what ensues are three horrific nights of heated philosophical debates, cat and mouse pursuits, supernatural religious occurrences and torturous mayhem."

A passion project for Missick, "As Evil Does" is also produced by Andretta Hamilton, with Bill Cobbs, along with Tony Davis, executive producing.

Principal photography wrapped on July 7, 2015, with a 2016 premiere eyed.

Missick recently begun producing work for himself, in order to, as he tells me, get projects he’s passionate about made. He can currently be seen in Pete Chatmon’s short film "Black Card," which premiered at the Los Angeles Film Festival last month, and which Missick is a producer of, starring in it with his wife, actress Simone Missick.

He also appeared in the TV One original movie, "The Summoning," and will be seen in the Diallo Riddle/Bashir Salahuddin TV project, "Brothers in Atlanta," which is housed at HBO.
