The daughter of Dr. Heavenly and Dr. Damon is following in her parent’s footsteps. She recently accepted an offer to attend Florida A&M University, where she will be a biology pre-med major.
Kimes grew up on the Bravo show Married to Medicine, where her parents starred. Now 17, she is forging her path.
Dr. Heavenly took to Instagram to celebrate her daughter’s acceptance. She posted a video of Kimes walking down one of the HBCU’s corridors, wearing the school’s letterman jacket with matching orange shoes.
“Thank you, God! I am proud to announce that my baby girl Alaura Kimes will follow in my footsteps and spend her next four years at My Alma Mater, THEE #1 Public HBCU: Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University, as a Biology Pre-Med Major! Thank you to my family and friends for continuously pouring into and supporting us!” she captioned the post.

The famed dentist graduated from Florida A&M University and attended Meharry Medical College, where she graduated at the top of her class.

The incoming first-year student announced the news on Instagram when sharing high school graduation photos.
“With 11 days left until my Highschool Graduation Ceremony and less than 2 months until I embark on my college journey, I want to take the time to express my gratitude for my parents, family, friends, and teachers for molding me into the person that I continue to become!” she wrote.
“Over these next four years, there’s no place I would rather call my HBCU than The Highest of Seven Hills! I also heard the pretty girls go to FAMU,” Kimes added.

Kimes may be embarking on her college journey; she has put her business skills to use to support her mother in the past.
Dr. Heavenly shared they collaborate on her business, Heavenly Beauty, according to Essence.
“Alaura has a big role in this beauty supply store,” Dr. Heavenly shared on a Season 9 episode of Married to Medicine last year. “I wanted to make sure that she had a business she could enter… She runs the social media; she helps with the website. She’s bossy [and] confident.”
