Drake stans got quite the surprise on Thursday afternoon, as the Toronto-born rapper announced that a new project titled Honestly, Nevermind would drop at midnight (EST).

This declaration caught many people off guard and Twitter users instantaneously picked up the news.

Ahead of the album’s premiere, most people were focusing on the title, as well as expressing their excitement over the surprise project.

Once the project actually dropped, social media began speaking on Honestly, Nevermind even more.

There were many memes joking about the energy Drake brought to the album.

Similarly, other accounts, including Grindr, a gay hookup app, went on to call Honestly, Nevermind “kinda gay asf.”

One user even blamed the album’s new sound on Drake’s association with Jack Harlow.

However, others shared that they liked the dance vibes the album brought, saying it gave them the chance to feel like a baddie.

People also cracked jokes about the dance-y aspect of the album.

21 Savage — who was the only feature, specifically on the album’s last track, “Jimmy Cooks” — was also thrown into the conversation, with many saying Savage was basically Drake’s secret weapon.

Despite this, the project wasn’t exactly everyone’s cup of tea.

Those who truly liked Honestly, Nevermind seemed unfazed by the hate, though.

While the album itself was a huge deal, the music video to one of the tracks, “Falling Back,” began garnering tons of attention.

The nearly ten-minute video opens with Drake preparing for his wedding, which features the infamous Tristan Thompson as his best man.

Humorously, we see that Drake is practicing polygamy in the video once the ceremony commences, as he’s tying the knot with 23 different women.

The wedding ceremony and reception take up the rest of the video, and Drake’s 23 video wives are credited at the very end.
