Drake is a mega-successful rapper, and according to his 5-year-old son, he’s also a pretty cool dad.
Drake and his son, Adonis Graham, recently sat down for a father-son interview for Barstool Sports’ Sundae Conversation. During the video, host Caleb Pressley asked the 5-year-old if he knew how to read, which Adonis admitted he did not.
“Do you think if [Drake] did a better job with you at home that you’d be able to read?” Pressley joked, to which Adonis answered, “Yeah.”
But despite Drake not teaching him how to read, Adonis still thinks highly of his famous dad.
“This is my better dad,” Adonis said, looking over at the “Rich Flex” rapper. “[He’s] a funny dad, also he does a lot of funny jokes.”
Later in the interview, Pressley asked Drake if Adonis has ever “c**k-blocked” him so he won’t have to share any of his future inheritance.
“No, no, not really,” Drake replied with a chuckle. “He definitely is always vibing out with me.”
Drake welcomed Adonis with French artist Sophie Brussaux in 2017.
At first, the rapper denied having fathered a child with Brussaux. However, in 2018, he confirmed she was pregnant with his baby in “March 14” on his Scorpion album.
“The kid is mine,” he rapped on the track.
On “Emotionless,” another track on the album, Drake rapped, “I wasn’t hidin’ my kid from the world/ I was hidin’ the world from my kid.”
Both Drake and Brussaux waited until 2020 to share any photos of Adonis. The rapper explained his reasoning during Apple Music radio show Young Money Radio with Lil Wayne.
“I want to be able to go places with my son and share memories with my son,” Drake said, as Complex reported. “I don’t want to feel like just because of a life choice I made to be a ‘celebrity’ that I got to make everybody live under this blanket. … I just wanted to free myself of that.”
Since then, Drake has been sharing his son with the world, posting cute videos and photos of them on social media and bringing him along to basketball games and red carpet events.
