Amy Luciani went to Instagram on Saturday and made concerning allegations about her husband, Dwight Howard. The former Love & Hip Hop star recorded herself sitting in a car and told followers that Howard is struggling with drug addiction. Fighting through tears, Luciani also said the alleged addiction is affecting his children.
Luciani alleges CPS took Howard’s daughter
In the emotional video, Luciani claimed Child Protective Services took Howard’s daughter while he is struggling with drugs.
“My marriage has landed me in a very dangerous position,” Luciani said in the video, per The Grio. “My stepdaughter was just taken by CPS because of her father. CPS, police have been here three times in less than three months, and I stood in it by my husband—even though I was scared for my own self. Whatever he wanted me to say, whatever it was—I’m thinking this is my husband.”
Luciani also alleged that Howard forced his 12-year-old son to help him cover up his drug use. At one point in the video, she held up a bag containing a white substance and became emotional.
“This is what I’m f**king losing my marriage to,” she said.
Luciani filed for divorce in 2025
Luciani, who is legally known as Amber Rose Howard, still maintains a relationship with Howard despite filing for divorce in July, Page Six reported. The couple publicly announced their relationship in 2024 and married a month later.
Luciani said she initially stayed in the marriage because people around her encouraged her not to leave so quickly.
“I had everybody around me saying—even after I tried to divorce him the first time—everybody around me saying ‘You can’t leave your husband this soon, you said through sickness through health, you said through good or bad.’ That’s why I came back, but this has gone way too far,” she said. “It’s not even about me, it’s about the kids.”
Howard has not publicly responded to Luciani’s video. However, his former girlfriend, Royce Reed, reacted to the claims on social media.
“Who’s laughing? This is sad AF!” Reed said, per Hot New Hip Hop. “These kids should’ve never been in his custody and she knew that! Look at the past! She allowed it, she condoned it, she participated in it… Crying now because she caught him lying to her is selfish af!”
Howard shares his son Braylon with Reed. The NBA Hall of Famer has five children from five different relationships.
