Forbes unveiled its “30 Under 30” list for the class of 2019 and many of our favorite game changers have made the cut.

Here are the black entertainers who appeared on the list:

1) Zazie Beetz

Zazie Beetz, who earned an Emmy nod for her role as Vanessa on the FX series Atlanta and stars as Domino in Deadpool 2 is on the list. She will be seen next in the DC film Joker and the astronaut drama Pale Blue Dot, among many other films she has set up.

2) Dominique Fishback

A leading lady in the making, Fishback’s performance as Darlene in the HBO drama The Deuce has been described as “scene stealing.” Since then, she has drawn her raves for her debut film performance in Night Comes On and stars alongside Amandla Stenberg in the potential Best Picture Oscar pic The Hate U Give. She’s next leading the cast for a Netflix sci-fi film co-starring Jamie Foxx and Joseph Gordon-Levitt.


3) Kiki Layne

A Hollywood newcomer, Layne’s debut role as Tish in Barry Jenkins’ adaptation of the James Baldwin novel If Beale Street Could Talk is garnering attention. There’s talk of a potential Academy Award nomination for Best Actress for Layne, who won the role over 300 other actors. She will next appear in the film adaptation of the Richard Wright novel, Native Son.

4) Storm Reid

Reid played the coveted role of Meg Murry in Ava Duvernay’s sci-fi game changer in A Wrinkle In Time. In an ensemble that included Oprah Winfrey, Mindy Kaling and Reese Witherspoon, Reid held her own and earned raves for her performance. Reid will next star in the upcoming HBO drama Euphoria, alongside Zendaya and Algee Smith.

5) Jacob Latimore

Jacob Latimore has garnered attention for several film roles, including 2017 drama Sleight and Detroit. He can be next seen in the second season of the Showtime drama The Chi and the upcoming films Limited Partners, Gully and The Last Summer. 

6) Ryan Jamaal Swain

One of the breakout stars of the groundbreaking FX drama Pose, Howard University alum Swain lends his dancing acumen to the show as Damon Richards, a homeless dancer who becomes entangled in the NYC underground ball scene of the ’80s.

This 30 Under 30 alum served as one of the judges for the Hollywood section of Forbes’ highly-anticipated list. The actor and comedian has garnered press for his starring role in the CBS sitcom Superior Donuts. Fowler also starred in the critically acclaimed film Sorry To Bother You and will next appear in the 2019 comedy drama Buffaloed, alongside Zoey Deutch and Judy Greer.
