Megan Thee Stallion, an Aquarius queen, turns 27 on Feb. 15, and fans are showering the H-Town Hottie with love and reflecting on her superstar career. From her 2017 Make It Hot EP to her recent "Flamin' Hottie" single, this artist has influenced the culture in a variety of ways with her hit tracks, particularly "Hot Girl Summer" which became a cultural phenomenon centered on fun and self-love.

In honor of her 27th birthday, we've compiled a list of some life lessons we've learned from Hot Girl Meg.

Don't be afraid to shake it up

Back in the summer of 2016, Megan Thee Stallion was featured in "The Houston Cypher," which was put on by Zions View. The 19-minute video features a variety of rappers from throughout the Houston area, and Megan Thee Stallion was notably one of the only women who participated in the cypher.

Megan Thee Stallion outperformed the almost-entirely male crowd while rocking a crop top, booty shorts, and high heels, and the men in the background didn't know how to handle it. This shows what Megan's all about: slaying the rap game and looking good while doing it.

This cypher has become iconic among Megan Thee Stallion fans, and hardcore listeners will also recognize that a portion of her verse made it onto "Pull Up Late," which debuted the following year.

Take initiative

Megan Thee Stallion first met Nicki Minaj way back in mid-2019 on Instagram Live, and right after meeting this megastar Megan didn't waste time trying to persuade her to jump on "Hot Girl Summer," which only featured Ty Dolla $ign at the time.

"We need the Queen," she said while trying to persuade Minaj as they continued to chat it up for the duration of the 16-minute conversation.

Clearly, Megan Thee Stallion's persuasiveness worked, because Nicki Minaj provided an iconic verse for "Hot Girl Summer" that helped make it a timeless bop.

Set your brand and run with it

Hot Girl Meg has made hotness a part of her brand, and she's serious about it. From her fanbase being known as "Hotties" to her "Hottie Bootcamp" series and various in-song references, it's safe to say that Megan Thee Stallion has become synonymous with this term.

Megan has also begun to really capitalize off of this in recent brand partnerships, as she was named Nike's "Hot Girl Coach" back in Sept. 2021 and had a "Hottie Sauce" product available at Popeyes shortly thereafter.

Once you find something that works, make it your own and keep it up!

Demand loyalty

In 2020, Megan Thee Stallion memorably fell out with Tory Lanez and accused him of shooting her in her foot, a matter which he continues to deny. About a year later, she went on to cut ties with DaBaby, with whom she released two hit songs, after he collaborated with Tory Lanez and retweeted a statement that made light of the situation.

Shortly thereafter, DaBaby seemingly attempted to shade Megan Thee Stallion by bringing Tory Lanez out during his Rolling Loud Performance which ultimately violated Lanez's probation, as Megan Thee Stallion was at the venue as well.

Megan cutting off DaBaby exemplifies that, if someone has proved that they don't have your best interests at heart, you've got to just say goodbye and gracefully part ways.

Manifest your dreams

As Blavity previously reported, Megan Thee Stallion manifested her superstar rap career way back in 2014 when she was only 19 years old.

"I need a team bc I promise rap gone take off for me," she tweeted, and the rest is rap music history.

It's also worth noting that Megan appears to be an active believer in this practice, because she also recently manifested a Super Bowl halftime show.

"We're gonna manifest that Megan Thee Stallion will be performing at the Super Bowl halftime show soon, whenever they will have me. But we will manifest that, so remember this day, hotties! We said we were gonna perform at halftime," she said earlier this year.

Remember: anything is possible if you speak it into existence.

Keep your possibilities open

Despite being one of the hottest rappers in the game right now, Megan Thee Stallion keeps her eyes set on future pursuits.

Late last year, Megan Thee Stallion memorably graduated from Texas Southern University with a health administration degree, and this superstar wants to give back to the Houston community by opening up assisted living facilities, as Blavity previously reported.

"I'm still going to open up these assisted living facilities. And I definitely want to hire new college graduates," she stated shortly after her graduation. "Nobody ever wants to hire you fresh out of college. They feel like you have no experience, so I want to create a place where you can get experience."

She also shared similar sentiments in earlier interviews, at one point saying "I'm gonna open an assisted-living facility and use the money that I make from rapping to open it. Then I'm gonna let my classmates run it."

It's important to always plan your next move and have a future plan in motion, even if you're presently on top of the world.

Be "sassier" and "demand more."

Megan Thee Stallion is all about hyping up her Hotties, and she’s also all about encouraging people–specifically Black women–to unapologetically be themselves, as Blavity previously reported

“I want Black women to be louder. I want us to be sassier. I want us to demand more, be more outspoken. Keep speaking and just keep demanding what you deserve. Don’t change–just get better,” she stated during a 2020 GQ interview.

This lesson was originally intended for Black women, and it’s also something that all Megan fans can keep in mind when it comes to being their authentic selves and not letting others police their feelings.

We have to be our own biggest advocate in this world. If we don’t have our backs, then who does?

Let's celebrate Megan Thee Stallion by keeping these lessons in mind, bumping your favorite Hot Girl jams, and being your baddest self. AHH!
