Adam Venit is making plans to depart William Morris Endeavor Agency (WME).

This piece of news comes a year after the infamous Venit stepped down as the head of the agency’s film department.  While his reasoning for departing WME hasn’t been revealed, we can take a wild guess.

For those unfamilar, Brooklyn Nine-Nine actor Terry Crews accused Venit of groping him at a party in 2016. Since then, Crews has become an advocate for justice for sexaual assault victims, and a rare example of men coming forward with their own #MeToo stories. Venit was suspended for 30 days following Crews’ revelation. However, charges against him were evemtually cleared, leading to a lawsuit to be filed by Crews. A settlement was reached recently, leading to Venit’s retirement.

Venit has not reaped the desire for repercussions for his alleged actions. While testifying before the Senate Judiciary Committe in June, Crews made the shocking revealtion that he will not appear in The Expendables 4, the fourth installment of the blockbuster franchise, after the movie’s producer Avi Lerner threatened to retalitate against him for speaking out about his assualt at the hands of Venit.
