Akon has sparked a buzz on the internet after revealing the secret to his revived hairline.
“I went to Turkey and got a procedure,” Akon said when he sat down for an interview on The Bootleg Kev Podcast. “In the beginning, my whole front was loose.”
When asked if the procedure was painful, the “Smack That” singer said the beginning part was difficult.
“The painful part is the beginning when they gotta numb you up,” he said. “They stick a needle like this big, nonstop.”
The pain was apparently worth it.
“It looks amazing,” Akon said. “I love it.”

Akon said the procedure only cost him $7,500. The 49-year-old artist added that he’s pleased with his decision to get the procedure done in Turkey instead of the U.S.
“Here they’re overcharging,” he said. “Anything related to health care or any kind of medical procedure, America tags on 10 times.”
