Angela Bassett is reuniting with her “American Horror Story” creator/producer Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk on a new drama series titled “911,” which Fox has ordered straight to series for a 13-episode first season.
This news comes during a week Fox (doing some serious spring cleaning) canceled at least 6 of its existing series, including “Pitch,” “Sleepy Hollow,” and “Rosewood,” to name 3.
Details on “911” are being kept underwraps for now, as if often the case with Ryan Murphy series announcements. Although a further revelations are expected to be made during Fox’s upfront presentation next week Monday.
Worth noting here is that Bassett will not only star in “911,” she will also executive produce.
She most recently made a surprise appearance in WGN America’s “Underground,” and will next be seen in Marvel’s “Black Panther.”
Deadline was first to report to news on “911.”
