After reflecting on the positive aspects of her relationship with Yo Gotti, Angela Simmons expressed her happiness, coming just a few days following the couple’s Instagram relationship announcement.
Simmons and the CMG rap mogul officially confirmed their suspected romance with a beautiful New Year’s Eve photo shoot. Simmons then took to her Instagram Stories to highlight her new relationship.
“Happier than I’ve ever been,” she wrote, adding a heart emoji.
Yo Gotti and Simmons have long been rumored to have a special friendship. Gotti publicly proclaimed his admiration on his 2015 single “Down in the DM,” which reached No. 13 on the Billboard Hot 100, Complex reports.
“And I just followed Angela Simmons, Boy; I got a crush on Angela Simmons; they like ‘Damn Gotti, you bold,’ F**k it, I’m gon’ let the world know, goals,” Gotti rapped on his hit record.
In 2017, shortly after Simmons’s engagement to Sutton Tennyson, Gotti released a song titled “Save It for Me,” in which he expressed his longing for the daughter of Run-DMC’s Rev Run.
“Passed my number to Angela; I thought I had her. Her n***a cuffed her, married; it made me madder. I respect it, I’m moving on, but the truth is I want her badder. Maybe me sayin’ her name made him move faster,” he rapped.
In April 2020, after waiting several years, he again made an overt effort to convey his feelings to Simmons. Under a bikini shot Simmons shared with a message about body positivity, he wrote her a flattering comment.
“I think u perfect,” Yo Gotti commented, according to HotNewHipHop.
His attempts to make Simmons his woman paid off, and his goals were being fulfilled. Fans online are saying he manifested this and spoke it into existence.
Following numerous public outings and social media teases this year, folks started to examine their friendship a little more closely. In September, for Simmons’ 35th birthday, Gotti pulled up to her celebration and sat a few feet away while she sang along to his record.

Shortly after, Yo Gotti and Simmons seemed to be traveling together in October. People online pointed out resemblances between posts they both made from abroad. Fans felt their scenery and excursions in Paris and Dubai were too coincidental at the time, even though they avoided openly posting about each other.

By Gotti’s mother’s birthday party in November, Simmons had seemingly become familiar with Gotti’s family. She posted a picture of herself beaming at someone while covering their face with a big red heart emoji. Followers had already guessed the mystery man was Gotti, and here we are!
Gotti officially put rumors to rest, posting a romantic video of Simmons in a black dress and evening gloves next to a Rolls-Royce for their New Year’s Eve photo shoot. Simmons later shared their fly photos along with a heartfelt caption.
“You are all I need and more,” she wrote, along with a red heart emoji.
