nullBrit actor Franz Drameh has been cast as Jay Jackson in the "Untitled DC Comics Project" TV serial for The CW network, which is a spin-off of the existing “Arrow” and “The Flash” series – both hits.

Details on story are being kept under wraps for now.

Jay Jackson is described as a former high school athlete, whose pro-career was derailed by injury. Now making ends meets as an auto mechanic, Jay will come to have a surprising affiliation to the S.T.A.R. Labs crew.

Drameh, who most will probably remember from the British sleeper hit "Attack the Block," joins the previously-cast Ciara Renée, who will play Kendra Saunders (aka Hawkgirl), Brandon Routh (as Ray/The Atom), Caity Lotz (Sara/Canary), as well as The Flash‘s Wentworth Miller (Leonard Snart/Captain Cold) and Victor Garber (Dr. Martin Stein aka half of Firestorm).

The yet-to-be-titled spin-off series hails from "Arrow " and "The Flash" creators Greg Berlanti, Andrew Kreisberg and Marc Guggenheim.

Drameh’s USA breakout role was in Warner Brothers’ "Edge of Tomorrow" alongside Tom Cruise and Emily Blunt. He next is going to be seen in the British feature ensemble drama "A Hundred Streets," alongside Idris Elba and Gemma Arterton.

Of all the young men who starred in "Attack the Block," Drameh and John Boyega have enjoyed the most crossover success since that little-British-film-that-could.

Assuming this untitled CW project does go to full series, it’ll mark Drameh’s first USA regular TV series role.
