For the first time since Quantico, Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor is headed back to broadcast television in a series regular role.
She’s joining the cast of CBS’s upcoming procedural, Einstein, alongside Matthew Gray Gubler and Melissa Fumero.
Who will Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor play in ‘Einstein’?
She’ll play Captain Frost, a “veteran police officer” who’s “logged ten thousand hours in the field and is counting the days until she retires with her partner.”
Here’s the logline for the series: Brilliant but directionless, the great-grandson of Albert Einstein spends his days as a comfortably tenured professor until his bad boy antics land him in trouble with the law and he is pressed into service helping a local police detective solve the most puzzling cases.
The series is executive produced by Andy Breckman, Randy Zisk, Tariq Jalil, Rose Hughes, Rodrigo Herrera Ibarguengoytia and Laura Beetz. The series is from CBS Studios.
Ellis-Taylor is also set to star in Apple TV’s ‘Lucky’
This isn’t the only television role Ellis-Taylor has coming up. She’ll soon be seen opposite Anya Taylor-Joy in Apple TV’s Lucky.
She’s been one of the most in-demand actors for film and streaming/premium cable television in recent years, earning an Oscar for King Richard and Emmy nominations for HBO’s Lovecraft Country and Netflix’s When They See Us.
