In a flagrantly sexist recent tweet, producer Hitmaka implied that attractive female rappers only talk about sex in their music.

In this era, messages travel fast, and it’s easy to offend many with just one statement, so it’s imperative to be mindful of what you post online. Unfortunately, Hitmaka was on one that day, and the ladies weren’t having it.
The last thing women want to hear is that men negatively judge their contributions to the culture. So this topic was not generally well-received by the ladies and sparked a heated discussion among many online, including rapper Asian Doll (also known as Asian Da Brat) and singer/rapper Baby Tate.
Asian Doll didn’t think twice to remind the former rapper that women only rap for women — not for men. Instead, she pointed out that male rappers also tend to limit their musical subject matter to money, women, violence, etc.
Baby Tate entered the chat but did it on wax, taking it to SoundCloud to address the hypocrisy in the producer’s criticism, including the fact that he contributes to the topic he is negatively speaking about himself.
To further denounce Hitmaka’s argument, she posted a video of herself on TikTok and Instagram, rapping along to her freestyle, shutting down sexism in the rap game. She even included the lyrics so folks would notice every bar.

His most recent and popular 2019 record, “Thot Box,” was written and produced by him for several female rap artists. She went straight for the jugular when she brought up the sexually explicit track, which features Young M.A., Dreezy, DreamDoll, Mulatto and Chinese Kitty.
“And quick, with two seconds on the shot clock/ Can you tell me why you talking all this sh*t, when your biggest recent hit was Thot Box?” she let off.
Women in hip-hop and their fans are reacting to the video’s widespread popularity. Baby Tate’s freestyle has even gotten the attention of people who previously weren’t familiar with the artist.
She made her point clear; now, everyone knows she isn’t here to play. She also reassured the former rapper in the caption that it’s “no beef, just bars.”
