Netflix has dropped the first trailer for its upcoming coming-of-age drama film, Beats.
Directed by Chris Robinson, it is the film debut of Khalil Everage (The Chi) and also stars Anthony Anderson, Uzo Aduba, Emayatzy Corinealdi and Dave East.
The description: In this coming-of-age drama, a reclusive teenage musical prodigy (Everage) forms an unlikely friendship with a down-on-his-luck high school security guard (Anderson). United by their mutual love of hip hop, they try to free each other from the demons of their past and break into the city’s music scene.
