The upcoming series Blade Runner 2099 has added several additions to its cast, including Dimitri Abold and Shelia Atim.

Also joining the previously-announced Michelle Yeoh and Hunter Schafer in the Amazon MGM Studios’ sci-fi action series are Lewis Gribben, Katelyn Rose Downey, Daniel Rigby, Johnny Harris, Amy Lennox and Matthew Needham.

While Abold and Gribben will be featured as series regulars, Downey, Rigby, Harris, Lennox, Atim and Needham join as recurring guest stars.

Blade Runner 2099 will serve as a sequel television series to the film Blade Runner 2049, which was a sequel to Ridley Scott’s 1982 science-fiction thriller Blade Runner. An adaptation of Philip K. Dick’s 1968 novel Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?, the original Blade Runner chronicles a dystopian future Los Angeles in which a fugitive group of synthetic humans known as replicants escape to Earth and are hunted down by authorities.

Blade Runner 2099 will mark the first television series in the Blade Runner universe since Alcon Entertainment acquired film, television and ancillary rights to produce prequels and sequels to Blade Runner.

Scott will executive produce Blade Runner 2099 alongside showrunner Silka Luisa, Alcon Entertainment co-founders Andrew Kosove and Broderick Johnson, Alcon’s President of Television Ben Roberts, David W. Zucker and Clayton Krueger from Scott Free Productions, Tom Spezialy, Richard Sharkey, Michael Green, Cynthia Yorkin, Frank Giustra and Isa Dick Hackett.
