Blue Ivy has an eye for finer things proving her divine taste yearly at her grandmother Tina Lawson’s Wearable Art Gala, and this year is no different. This year while attending the 2022 Wearable Art Gala in Los Angeles, Blue Ivy Carter bid over $80,000 for a pair of Lorraine Schwartz earrings that once belonged to her mom Beyoncé.

Tina Knowles Lawson, and her husband, Richard Lawson, support the W.A.C.O. (Where Art Can Occur) Theater Center, aiding in teen mentorship programs, including theatre and art programs. This year’s “Harlem Nights” theme honored fashion from the 1920s to the 1950s.

Footage from inside the charity event shows the 10-year-old participating in the auction with the supervision of her parents, Beyoncé and Jay-Z.
Blue wanted the earrings for herself and wasn’t shy about bidding over $80,000 on a pair of Lorraine Schwartz her grandmother wore that evening, which once belonged to Beyoncé.
The big spender eventually lost to the founder of the hairline, Mielle Organics, Monique Rodriguez, and her husband, Melvin. The couple dropped $105,000 to win those earrings against Blue.
Despite going home empty-handed, Blue did not leave a crumb when pulling up to the event wearing a blue sparkly blazer jacket, with strands of pearls and a feathered headband to complete her flapper-inspired fit.

Beyoncé looked stunning in a custom strapless Gucci dress that had embellished stars over each bust. The “Cuff It” artist accessorized with hot pink sating gloves with ruffles at the shoulder, a pair of Lorraine Schwartz earrings, her classic Black sunglasses and a Dolce & Gabbana clutch.
Jay-Z looked dapper next to his ladies, wearing a Black velvet tuxedo jacket with a white dress shirt, black bowtie and patent leather shoes.

Hopefully, Blue Ivy will have better luck next year after losing this year’s bid and again in 2018 at the same event against Tyler Perry over a Sidney Poitier painting for $20,000.
