Bokeem Woodbine has landed the lead role in CBS’s drama pilot, Main Justice. The potential series is inspired by the life and work of Eric Holder.
Written by Sascha Penn (Power, Survivor’s Remorse), and executive produced by Jerry Bruckheimer and Holder, the series “takes us into the tumultuous world of the 5th floor of the Department of Justice where the AG takes on the biggest legal and investigative cases in the country all while being the youngest person to ever hold such an esteemed position.”
Woodbine will play Miles Blair’s, whose “years of experience as a beat cop and ultimately as Detroit’s Police Commissioner have made him pragmatic, tough and grounded. It’s trial by fire when he takes the reins in Washington.”
He recently had a critically-acclaimed, Emmy-nominated turn in FX’s Fargo. He also had a recurring role on WGN’s Underground and stars in USA’s upcoming anthology series, Unsolved: The Murders of Tupac and Notorious B.I.G.
