Bounce TV today announced it is syndicating its original content with two separate program licensing agreements, with Viacom International Media Networks and Afrostream.
In a multi-year agreement covering multiple platforms, Viacom International Media Networks licenses rights to:
— “Saints & Sinners” — Bounce TV’s drama series centering on the pursuit of power, intertwined with greed, deception, corruption and murder, all set against the backdrop of a large southern church. Season one set records as Bounce TV’s most-watched program in its history; season two returns in the first quarter of 2017.
— “In The Cut” — Dorien Wilson stars as barber shop owner Jay Weaver, Kellita Smith plays his potential love interest who runs the beauty salon he owns, and Ken Lawson is his illegitimate son who shows up out of the blue one day.
— “Mann & Wife” — Real-life husband and wife team David Mann and Tamela Mann star and serve as executive producers of this comedy that follows newlywed, second-chance sweethearts through the ups and downs of life as a blended family.
— “My Crazy Roommate” — A comedy series about two young women, played by Laila Odom and Brittany Richards, from vastly different backgrounds who are forced to live together while on a crusade to find fame and fortune in Hollywood.
Territories included in the agreement are Sub-Saharan Africa, UK/Ireland and France + overseas Francophone territories.
The agreement with Afrostream, a subscription video on demand service for African American, African and Caribbean films and TV series, also includes “In The Cut,” “Mann & Wife” and “My Crazy Roommate.”
Afrostream also licenses:
— “Family Time” — A half-hour sitcom chronicling the relocated-to-the-suburbs Stallworth family, headed by dad Tony (Omar Gooding), a struggling general contractor, and his wife Lisa (Angell Conwell), an unfulfilled stay-at-home mom. Season four is currently airing Tuesday nights.
— “Off The Chain” — Bounce TV’s high-powered stand-up show featuring some of the most hilarious African-American comedians on the scene; Rodney Perry hosts.
Territories included in the deal are Sub-Saharan Africa, France plus overseas Francophone territories, the UK, Belgium, Switzerland, and Luxembourg.
“Bounce TV original series are our highest-rated programming and they have huge multi-generational appeal. Syndicating our original content internationally creates another revenue stream and introduces the Bounce TV brand outside the United States,” said Jonathan Katz, Bounce TV COO. “Viacom International Media Networks and Afrostream are leaders in bringing black culture to fans around the world and we are thrilled to be in business with both companies.”
