Brandy Norwood has finally taken to social media to share her reaction to the now-viral clip of rapper Jack Harlow learning that she and Ray J are siblings.

And it’s safe to say that the singer and songwriter has been amused.

“I will murk this dude in rap at 43 on his own beats and then sing his ass to sleep,” she wrote.</span

But she let it be known that her joke is all in the name of love. “See, I can have a little fun too,” she added in a separate tweet.

Twitter users have gone wild in reacting to Brandy’s joke. One user tweeted, “Hello! Are y’all awake? This is not a drill. Brandy said: ‘We can dance if you want. Get it cracking if you like.’”

Some users felt compelled to respond to Brandy since she took a couple of days to respond to the incident. One wrote, “Not you sat on this for a few days and now deciding to reply after it died down it’s not that deep.”

“I know I’m mad late… but it was a joke. I didn’t know he rapped, so I was just poking, but I see now this was a big thing a few days ago,” she responded.

One celebrity who was quick to address Harlow’s ignorance was India.Arie. 

“If U don’t know Brandy’s voice when you hear it…. WHO EVEN ARE YOU?” she blatantly questioned the rapper, earlier last week.

This chaos was sparked when Harlow sat down for an interview with the hosts at the New York radio station, Hot 97. The crew decided to test Harlow’s knowledge of 90s R&B and played Brandy’s 1999 single, “Angel In Disguise.”

Harlow was asked to name the song’s artist and incorrectly responded by choosing Aaliyah. When the hosts gave him a hint and told him that the singer’s brother had a famous sex tape, the second response was no better.

“Who’s Ray J’s sister?” he asked.

Harlow has yet to react to Brandy’s lighthearted “clap back.”
