Having a famous father certainly has its perks, as both Bronny James and Shareef O’Neal are aware. However, the pair tasted the limits of that fame when they were unceremoniously denied from Saweetie’s hot Hollywood party celebrating her 30th birthday on Monday night. The young athletes seemingly weren’t on the guest list.

According to TMZ‘s report, the sons of basketball icons LeBron James and Shaquille O’Neal were unable to pass the threshold into L.A. hot spot Poppy, the club hosting Saweetie’s birthday bash. The two famous sons were with a group of friends, and every person in the entourage was turned away.

According to “sources with direct knowledge… Bronny was denied entrance because he’s 18 years old,” TMZ wrote.

Photographers snagged pics of Bronny, Shareef and their crew being curved by security as the boozy party was presumably a 21-and-over event. That said, the younger O’Neal is 23 years old. After some time, when it became clear security wouldn’t budge, Bronny and Shareef walked away from the establishment, heads down.

Bronny James was ranked one of the top high school athletes in the nation, currently set to play basketball at the University of Southern California. Per Sporting News, some even speculate Bronny will throw his hat into the NBA Draft in 2024 when he’s 19.

Shareef is currently signed to the G League team, Ignite. He has played in 20 games for the team. He has also played at both UCLA and Louisiana State University.

Despite the budding basketball stars not making it inside, many other A-list celebrities pulled up to celebrate the “Icy Girl” songstress.

Upon coming to a close, the birthday girl was spotted leaving the star-studded affair with her new man, YG. The rapper was seen holding his girlfriend’s hand as he led them through the crowd.
