Wunmi Mosaku got our attention with her riveting portrayal of Ruby Baptiste in the HBO horror series Lovecraft Country and her acclaimed performance in the Remi Weekes horror film His House.
Mosaku is slated to star alongside Sigourney Weaver in the women’s rights indie drama Call Jane, which is slated to be directed by Carol screenwriter Phyllis Nagy.
Based on The Black List script by Hayley Schore and Roshan Sethi, Call Jane centers around a pregnant housewife’s encounter with the Janes, an underground abortion movement. Aside from Weaver, Mosaku is also set to star alongside Elizabeth Banks and Kate Mara in the project.
Call Jane is just one of many projects ahead for Mosaku. The actress will also star in the upcoming Disney+ Marvel series, Loki.
