Chloe Bailey is back with another song cover. The performer delivered her own rendition of “Fukumean” by Gunna, her rumored ex-boo. The video posted by Bailey on social media is simple. She is seated wearing a black jumpsuit, red lipstick and sunglasses. The 25-year-old melodically raps to the lyrics, giving the original track an R&B-inspired spin.

The “Have Mercy” singer received praise from other artists.

“The waist is nonexistent,” fellow rapper Lakeyah commented.

“Woo!!” Bailey’s sister Halle wrote.

“🔥💙🔥,” Gunna himself commented under the post.

The rapper reposted Bailey’s cover both in his Instagram Story and on X, formerly known as Twitter.

Gunna’s “Fukumean” marks the rapper’s comeback since being incarcerated for his ties to the Young Slime Life gang. He was released from jail last December after agreeing to a plea deal in a RICO case that also involved rapper Young Thug.

“Fukumean” is one of Gunna’s highest charting singles of all time on the Hot 100, alongside “Drip Too Hard,” according to Chart Data. The track reached No. 4 on the charts and was included as part of his recently released album, A Gift & A Curse.

Bailey released her debut solo album, In Pieces, last March. She previously embarked on a tour to support the project. The In Pieces Tour is picking up this month for a second leg with 12 additional cities.

Bailey has released several song covers in the past, including her own renditions of GloRilla’s “Tomorrow,” Cardi B’s “Be Careful,” and Beyoncé’s “Pretty Hurts” with her sister Halle.

In October 2021, Bailey and Gunna sparked dating rumors after appearing together courtside at an NBA game and collaborating on Gunna’s 2022 track “you & me.” Bailey later told her fans on Twitter Spaces that her single, “For the Night,” was about the rapper.

“I might regret saying this, but hey, maybe it’ll help f*cking streams,” she said, according to Rolling Stone.

Bailey added that she had written the song months ago and that she was single at the time.
