Jason Mitchell and his “Straight Outta Compton” co-star, Corey Hawkins, both join Samuel L. Jackson in the “King Kong” prequel, titled “Kong: Skull Island,” the action tentpole movie from Legendary Entertainment.
No word exactly on how much screen time we can expect for each. The trio are part of an ensemble cast that also includes Tom Hiddleston, Brie Larson, John Goodman, Toby Kebbell, Thomas Mann and others, with Jordan Vogt-Roberts directing.
The action/adventure tent-pole movie will tell a story centered on King Kong’s origins.
“Kong: Skull Island” is produced by Legendary, with Alex Garcia and Eric McLeod executive producing.
The movie is set to be released on March 10, 2017.
