Ice Cube has been announced as the latest cast member added to the comedy film Covers, starring Tracee Ellis Ross and Dakota Johnson.

The Working Title and Focus Features film is described as being “among the talent, fame, and fast-paced world of Hollywood’s music scene.” The film marks Ross’ first major role in over 10 years.

Initially set to be directed by Rafiki director Wanuri Kahiu, the film will now be directed by Nisha Ganatra from a screenplay by Flora Greeson. Kelvin Harrison Jr. and Zoe Chao were also previously announced as part of the film’s cast.

The film is currently in production. Focus Features will handle U.S. distribution with Universal distributing the film internationally.
