Broadway superstar and Tony winner Cynthia Erivo is headed to the silver screen.

She’s set to star in Drew Goddard’s  Bad Times at the El Royale from 20th Century Fox.

The film’s confirmed cast also includes Cailee Spaeny. Chris Hemsworth and Jeff Bridges are in negotiations to star.

According to Variety, who reported Erivo’s casting, the film is set at “a run-down hotel near California’s Lake Tahoe named the El Royale and centers on a cast of characters whose own shady agendas will violently collide. Erivo is one of the leads of the movie, playing a down-on-her-luck singer who is in the wrong place at the wrong time.”

And yes, the role will require singing, so expect to hear those amazing vocals.

Erivo, who won her Tony for playing Ceile in The Color Purple on Broadway in 2015, is making her film debut in Steve McQueen’s Widows with the likes of Viola Davis, Michelle Rodriguez, Andre Holland, Daniel Kaluuya, Brian Tyree Henry and more. She’s also set to start in a Harriet Tubman biopic.
