Daveed Diggs is making power moves!

The Hamilton star, along with Rafael Casal will headline the film Blindspotting from Snoot Entertainment. The film is written by the duo, based on their lives growing up in a fastly-gentrifying Oakland. It is the feature directorial debut for music video director  Carlos Lopez Estrada.

A diverse cast of sorts has been enlisted, including Diggs’ co-star and Jasmine Cephas Jones (daughter of Ron Cephas Jones), Tisha Campbell-Martin, John Chaffin, Nyambi Nyambi, Janina Gavankar, Ethan Embry, Utkarsh Ambudkar,  Kevin Carroll and Wayne Knight.

Snoot’s Keith and Jessica Calder of Snoot are producing with Diggs and Casal.

Diggs has a lot coming up, this is just the latest of his endeavors. He is a recurring character on ABC’s black-ish and Netflix’s Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, he is exec producing the upcoming ABC comedy The Mayor, he’ll star in TNT’s Snowpiercer, and will star with Julia Roberts in the upcoming film, Wonder.
