DDG, whose real name is Darryl Dwayne Granberry Jr., supported his girlfriend, Halle Bailey, during a livestream. The rapper watched Bailey’s recent live rendition of “Part of Your World” during an episode of American Idol.

Bailey performed the song at Disneyland while wearing a blue gown inspired by her role as Ariel in the upcoming live adaptation of The Little Mermaid. The track was featured in the original animated film and is included in the live-action reboot.

In the livestream, DDG sang along to the lyrics and did his best to match Bailey’s vocal runs.

In the comments, fans reacted to the video and praised him for supporting Bailey.

“I know that’s rightttttt!!! We Stan a supportive Man!” someone commented.

“‘saaaaahahaaaand’ SENT ME😂😂” another remarked.

A third fan addressed the recent criticism the couple has received lately.

“I love them together! He’s obviously doing something right if she’s still with him and her family love him,” the wrote. “As Black people we need to start supporting and loving young Black couples. This comment section is extremely weird…”

Recently, rumors about a potential breakup fueled by hateful comments started circulating online. Both DDG and Bailey dispelled the rumors.

“I truly believe that what makes this a special love is that I’m just able to be myself and just have a sense of just relief when I’m away from work and everything. And I think when you’re young, you should just be happy; you should do things that make you happy,” Bailey said during a recent appearance on Tamron Hall.

The 23-year-old addressed rumors concerning her relationship with DDG.

“I think people put such a microscope on me and my life, especially now suddenly that I’m a Disney princess, and people are looking for any little thing to talk about,” she added. “But what I respect about this connection is that there’s love there and will always be, so I really don’t really mind all the naysayers.”

“I live my life, I’m happy, and this moment for me is really special, and I’m just focusing on that,” she said.

The Little Mermaid premieres in theaters on Friday.
