nullWhat is already
one of the most talked about black films of the year (and definitely on this
site) is Justin Simien’s "Dear White People," and it won’t be released until October 17 though Lionsgate and Roadside
Attractions.

But before
its long-awaited national release, it’ll get one last film festival showing; and
that will be at the 50th Chicago International Film Festival, running from October 9-23rd.

It’s one of
the first films announced this week that will be showcased at this year’s festival, though the complete schedule won’t be officially announced
until mid-September.

No word yet
if Simien and members of the cast will be present for the CIFF screenings, but
it’s safe to assume that they will be.
