After HBO decided not to move forward with the series he and Bashir Salahuddin had set up at the network ("Brothers in Atlanta"), Diallo Riddle (like Salahuddin did last week) found his next project.
Riddle has joined the cast of NBC’s comedy pilot from Marlon Wayans, titled "Marlon," which is inspired by the actor/comedian’s life.
Wayans will star in (and produce) the series that will follow the escapades of an unfitting but loving father who is committed to successful co-parenting with his polar opposite ex-wife (to be played by Essence Atkins). Riddle will play a guy who claims to be Wayans’ best friend and “business manager,” but who actually sleeps on Wayans’ couch, and essentially bleeds him.
The comedy series will be produced by Universal Television, 3 Arts and Wayans Brothers Entertainment.
Chris Moynihan will pen the script and executive produce alongside Rick Alvarez and Michael Rotenberg.
Wayans was most recently seen on the big screen in "Fifty Shades of Black."
