Freeform’s Black-ish spinoff, which is currently on a midseason break, got an early renewal for a Season 3, which is expected to premiere in 2020.
Simmons quickly rose the ranks on the show, first being introduced for a multi-episode guest arc in Season 1. He was upped to recurring status in Season 2 before his most recent promotion.
