Doja Cat shaved her hair and eyebrows off during an Instagram livestream on Thursday, explaining to fans why she decided to go hairless.

The 26-year-old told her millions of followers on Instagram Live how she never liked wearing wigs, natural hair, or braided hairstyles.

“I feel like I was never supposed to have hair anyway,” she said. “I don’t like having hair. I never liked having hair. I cannot tell you one time since the beginning of my life that I’ve ever been like, ‘This is cool.’ I just do not like to have hair.

“What is use of having hair if you’re not going to f—ing wearing it out? I don’t even sport it, so I’m shaving it off. There’s no point. I’ve never felt so f—ing happy like it’s very funny how much of an effect taking my hair off my head has positively influenced me,” she said.

Doja Cat explained how her hair got in the way of her workouts and how wigs would become strenuous to maintain.

“I remember feeling so fucking just exhausted with working out like whenever I went to go train, I had a trainer at one point, and I’d be wearing wigs, and they would be getting tacky, they’d like retack because of the moisture and then they’d start sliding and peeling off of my head while I’m doing this incredibly strenuous thing,” she said.

“I’d be working out, but I couldn’t focus because I was more concerned with how I looked and how my hair was doing and how to keep it adhered to my scalp and then it would slide off and then I’d put on a beanie,” she continued. “There were times I put on a beanie on top of my wig, that’s on top of a wig cap, that’s on top of braids.”

Doja Cat admitted she should have shaved her head a while ago as she raved about her new hair change.

“I just can’t believe it took me this long to be like, ‘Shave your fucking head,'” she said. “Because first of all, I don’t wear my hair out. You guys have seen me wear my natural hair out, I had like two eras where my hair would be out like I would straighten it. There was a moment when it was natural, and I don’t even wear it natural because I don’t feel like it. It’s just a fucking nightmare, dude. I’m over it. I’m really liking this.”

Shortly after the “Woman” artist proceedede to shave off her eyebrows.

“My makeup artist just texted me, ‘Are you shaving your brows off? I’m driving the fuck over,'” she said. “I’m gonna do it.”

Doja Cat listed the benefits of her new hairdo, saying she is free to swim and work out without it getting in the way of her activities.

“I can swim, which is a big deal for me because I love to surf. I can swim, I can work out, I can do like real strenuous workouts and sweat my ass off,” Doja said.

“Another kind of fun thing is that my wigs are going to lay flatter if I ever do wanna wear a wig,” she listed as one of the pluses of her shaved head.

“If I wanna do a buzz-cut color, I can do any color without actually doing it on my own head,” she continued. “I can do a buzz-cut wig. Either way, it’s like much easier all around. And it’s too hot for that s—, even though it’s almost fall. This is just better, it’s a lot better.”

Fans voiced their concerns about removing her eyebrows and hair, but she quickly let them know in a joking matter that she was completely fine.

“It’s so funny, all the Terry Jo’s and the country girls in my chat are like, ‘Are you OK, sis? Are you OK? Sis? Are you OK, baby?” she said. “I’m fine, Terry Jo, I’m just fine. I’m doing dandy.”

Doja showed off her new cut in the camera with a smile and beat face despite her follower’s opinions.
