Donald Faison has set what could potentially be his next big TV role.
He, along with Laya DeLon Hayes, who voices Doc McStuffins on the uber-successful Disney Junior show of the same name, have been cast as series regular in the ABC comedy pilot, Most Likely To, which stars Yvette Nicole Brown and Lesli Margherita.
The potential series, from Diablo Cody and produced by the ever-busy Greg Berlanti, revolves around Liz Cooney, who, in high school, had everything, and Markie McQueen, who had nothing. Twenty years later, they’re reunited under the same roof as single moms and unlikely housemates. Brown will play Markie, who is described as radiant and warm, quietly confident, with a successful salon and brilliant daughter — but her insecurities are reignited when her high school bully arrives in town.
Faison will play Joe McQueen, “Markie’s supportive, blue-collar ex-husband and first love. He is a much more relaxed parent than she is.” Hayes plays Wallis McQueen, “Markie’s intelligent and charitable daughter.”
