The planned animated Deadpool series at FX from Donald and Stephen Glover is no longer happening.
In a statement Saturday reads, “Due to creative differences, FX, Donald Glover, Stephen Glover and Marvel Television have agreed to part ways on Marvel’s ‘Deadpool’ animated series, FX will no longer be involved with the project,” FX said. “FX and Marvel have an ongoing relationship through our partnership on ‘Legion,’ which will continue.”
The series had received a 10-episode, straight-to-series order at FX’s subsidiary network, FXX.
Donald Glover and Stephen Glover would have served as showrunners, executive producers and writers of the series. Marvel Television, FX Productions and ABC Signature Studios would have produced.
It is unknown is Marvel will continue the project with new creators at the helm and or at another network.
