— Ernie Hudson has joined the season 3 cast of TBS’ “Angie Tribeca” series, playing the father of the title character, who is played by Rashida Jones.

“Angie Tribeca” is a comedy television series created by Steve Carell and Nancy Carell. The satire of police procedural shows stars Rashida Jones as the titular police detective Angie Tribeca. It also stars Hayes MacArthur, Jere Burns, Deon Cole and Andrée Vermeulen in supporting roles. “Angie Tribeca” premiered on a 25-hour 10-episode marathon on January 17–18, 2016. It was renewed for a second season, which premiered on June 6, 2016. On July 6, 2016, TBS renewed the series for a third season.

 

— Brian Tyree Henry of “Atlanta” fame has booked a mystery role on ABC’s “How to Get Away With Murder.” He’ll make his debut appearance on the series during the February 9th episode. Of course, “How to Get Away with Murder” is part of ABC’s Shondaland Thursday night lineup. The series was created by Peter Nowalk, and produced by Shonda Rhimes and ABC Studios. Viola Davis stars as Annalise Keating, a law professor at a prestigious Philadelphia university who, with five of her students, becomes entwined in a murder plot. The show features an ensemble cast with Davis as Annalise Keating, and Alfred Enoch, Jack Falahee, Aja Naomi King, Matt McGorry, and Karla Souza as her students, Charlie Weber and Liza Weil as her employees and Billy Brown as a police detective and Annalise’s lover.
