With the first season of Euphoria earning excellent reviews, HBO worked with Apple Music to take us behind the scenes at the conception of one of the show’s most talked-about musical moments.
In a behind the scenes clip, Sam Levinson, creator of Euphoria, envisioned a “Danny Elfman meets Yeezus meets Gospel” music composition for the show when it was in its earlier writing stages.
Levinson eventually enlisted the talent of British singer and producer Labrinth to compose the music for Euphoria.
In the below clip, Labrinth reveals that working on the show gave him an opportunity to merge genres and put a fresh spin on the “teen drama” format.
